Workshops
GCAEYC hosts workshops in the Galveston, Brazoria and Southeast Harris County area on topics ranging from child development to working with families.
On-Site Training
GCAEYC can come to your program to conduct a training that meets your needs. We provide training, certificates, and hand-outs, you provide refreshments for your staff.
Minimum of two hours and 10 people required for on-site training. To schedule an on-site training call 281.456.3677.

Each three-hour consultation involves a program observation and interviews with administration, staff, families, and children if available. The program then receives an Action Plan of resources, procedures, and suggested training to help program reach goals.

A CDA Advisor is a professional in the field of early childhood education/child development. He or she has the experience and knowledge required to observe the Candidate as lead teacher and document evidence of his or her consistent performance during the observation period. Advisors can help CDA candidates during their CDA process or just conduct the CDA Observation required for the credential.

CDA Observations
The CDA Observation is formal observation of the CDA candidate in their classroom setting. The CDA observation must be a minimum of three hours and recorded on the CDA Observation Instrument. Individuals can schedule a CDA Observation to be done by GCAEYC.
