Ms. Henderson has been teaching young children for 13 years with 12 of those years as a Head Start teacher.  She has been recognized many times over her teaching career for her outstanding work: 2000–2001 Teacher of the Year – Hitchcock Head Start 2004–2005 Teacher of the Year – Hitchcock Head Start 2006–2007 Teacher of the Year – Hitchcock Head Start 2008–2009 School Ready Certified Pre-K Classroom 2009–2010 School Ready Certified Pre-K Classroom In parent conferences families have shared with Ms. Henderson how instrumental she was in giving their children a good start.  She enjoys talking with previous students and discovering that they continue to retain what they learned in her classroom.	"My favorite thing about teaching is having a rapport with young children. I enjoy watching them in their learning process.  I enjoy what I do, I enjoy teaching young children."
